One legend says that the fortess was built around 800s. The first written document about the fortress dates from 1335, when Jerina moved to the fortress. In picture 1, you can see a fountain dedicated to Zavisa Crni who was killed at the very door of the fortress. So, the fortress connects this area to Polish history. In picture 2, you can see the highest tower, Sesir Tower, in which Golubana was captured bacause she didn't want to marry a Turkish pasha after he had conquered the fortress. So the name was given after a pigeon (golub) because Golubana kept pigeons in the highest tower. In picture 3, you can see a tower representing an amphitheater from which a guide introduces tou to the history and legends of the fortress. The way the towers are arranged on the cliff reminds of pigeons standing on a cliff.
