Together with the church, The High School Building, and The Library it outlines the town's square. Today it si one of the most beautiful buildings, which was a symbol and an emblem of the town for a long time. The old part of the town - In the main street, there are many beautiful old houses built at the end of the last century. The old part of the town is the most attractive part. It consist mostly of impressive buildings rich in interesting ornamental facades. Today the main street is under the protection of the state as a cultural and historic value. The Customs Building - It is very near the Danube, not far from the old centre. It has a nice facade decorated in a special style. It represents a very valuable, historically importan and stylistically original work,and as that, it is under the state protection. St. Arhangel Gavrilo's Church - In the town centre, at Zitni Trg, there is St. Arhangel Gavrilo's Church. It was built in the 19th century, although there are some data confirming its existence in the 18th century. The church was painted by extremely beautiful and valuable frescoes. The church, apart from
presents, keeps the old iconostasis, as well as a lot of holy books.
