Tumane Monastery is Milos Obilic's memorial. A folk story tells that Milos Obilic, who had a castle in Reka (at the place of now days village Dvoriste), accidentally in hunting killed a hermit Zosim Sinait. In order to save his own soul,he started to build a church at that place. He had just finished the church when he received a message from the czar Lazar from Krusevac, and the message said:"TU MANI (Leave) the building; the turks church. Tumane Monastery is a women's monastery.

One legend says that the fortess was built around 800s. The first written document about the fortress dates from 1335, when Jerina moved to the fortress...

The old part of the town rich in 19th century facade, St.Arhangel's Curch.Grammar School Building, The Town's Library, and The Customs Building represent a nostalgic frame in which a dynamic rhythm of contemporary life pulses.

St. Nichola's Church from 1826 represents the oldest church in the municipality of Veliko Gradiste. It is situated in Kisiljevo village, 10km from Veliko Gradiste. Its walls are made not of bricks, but of stamped earth. The church has one nave, a semicircular apsidal and small semicircular choir places. The church altar was painted by Zivko Pavlovic, Milena Pavlovic Barili's grandfather.

Attila,a famous Hun warrior, known as the God's whip, spent some time in Ram during his conquests.Vuk Karadzic was there as well, as a customs supervisor.(at that time Dzumurkana).In 1788 an Ausrian count, Baron von Lopersti, died while defending the town from the Turks.
